This year, 2005 we celebrated
the homegoing of Mother
Herndon. She enjoyed 104
years of life and service to
the Church.
At the time her demise, she
was a member of Testimonial
Cathedral COGIC, where her
Pastor and Bishop is Bishop
J. Bernard Hackworth.
Evangelist Department in 1951. She served with Bishop
Page, Elder Edward Battles, and Evangelist Richard
White. Dr. Herndon was emeritus January 2001, and
Evangelist Maria Gardner was appointed Elect Lady by
Bishop G. E. Patterson. Bishop Patterson also
re-appointed Evangelist Richard White the President of
the Evangelist Department, January 2001.
