Lucy Farrow
In 1903 Seymour moved to Houston, Texas, in search of his family. There he joined a small Holiness church pastored by a black woman, the niece of abolitionist Frederick Douglas, Lucy Farrow, who soon put him touch with Charles Fox Parham.
In 1905 she left the Houston pastorate (with Seymour as interim pastor) to work for Parham as a governess. While there, she was baptized in the Holy Ghost and spoke in tongues.
